Columbus Engagement Session | Inniswood

There is no doubt that one of the best places to have your Columbus engagement session is Inniswood Metro Gardens.

In my opinion, Inniswood is one of the most versatile parks in Columbus, Ohio.

Come spring you get beautiful white floral trees, lush greens, and spring flowers. Whereas in the summer their rose gardens are in full bloom, displaying vibrant shades of pinks, oranges, and yellows. Then in the fall the foliage is top tier with deep reds and soft yellows.

I’d have to say that fall is my favorite because nothing beats the the woods that become filled with gorgeous yellow leaves.

Parks are not often popular in the winter due to the lack of foliage and often has lots of mushy browns and dull colors. However, Inniswood offers beautiful pines that stay green throughout winter!

Not only is Inniswood Metro Gardens perfect for your Columbus engagement session, but you can also get married here. For more information on their weddings click here.

Columbus Engagement Session | McKenna & Brian

When McKenna reached out and expressed interest in Inniswood as one of their engagement locations I knew it would add the perfect nature setting for our time together.

With the white floral trees in bloom and the lush greens popping through from the transition to spring it was a beautiful setting for their images.

From dancing in the garden, strolling down the creek, and sitting by the flowers. You really can’t go wrong with any of the areas this park has to offer!

One thing to consider is the best time to go. If the weather is top tier, you can expect larger crowds on weekends and evenings. If you go earlier in the day during the week you are less likely to run into crowds.

Personally, I love going midday. Afternoons during the week are quiet and easier to navigate around other photographers. Sunsets are great but the park also offers plenty of shade for those seeking a midday session.

Let’s talk fur babies! Are you interested in bringing your dog or cat for a stroll? Pets are not allowed in the main gardens however you can take them to Chipmunk Chatter. Click here for more information on pet trails.
